Anthony Shorten

Anthony Shorten is your CanDo Member for Algester.

Anthony Shorten has been involved with local businesses and industries throughout Brisbane for ten years. Now working with the local government Anthony has built a reputation for assisting residents in the community.

Anthony entered the work force after graduating from local Sunnybank State High School. He worked his way through the ranks of a national retailer for six years and moved to Visy Industries.  His hard work and commitment caught the eye of his superiors and Visy quickly promoted him. Working with business and their employees every day was an excellent experience but Anthony's passion was helping the local community. This lead him to a role with local government, assisting residents and communities at the grass roots level.

Anthony is a local resident of Algester, living at Boronia Heights with his wife Kelly, a teacher at a local school and daughter Harmony Joy.

Growing up locally has allowed Anthony to understand the needs of the local community. As a representative for the community Anthony will to continue to work with locals to ensure that Algester continues to prosper while retaining the community's unique lifestyle.
