Biography
David Gibson is The LNP's Member of Parliament for the electorate of Gympie.
Formerly general manager of the Gympie Times newspaper, David is a graduate of the Royal Military College Duntroon and served as an army officer before embarking on a career in media marketing and management.
David lives locally with wife Alicia and their three children and is heavily involved in the community. He has been involved in APEX, the Cooloola Gallery Management Committee and the Board of the Australian Institute of Country Music.
David is determined to see Gympie get the services and infrastructure it needs through better representation in State Parliament.
Health care, stopping the Traveston Dam and better local roads are amongst his top priorities, he says.
“The campaign I started during the election campaign continues,” David says.
“It is now my job to take the fight up to the Labor Government on behalf of the people of Gympie to help find solutions to the problems of our area.
“I will provide Gympie the strong local voice it deserves.”
