Biography
Howard Hobbs was elected as the local Member of Parliament in 1986.
Howard is currently Shadow Minister for Local Government, Planning And Regional Development.
Howard owns a family sheep and cattle property near Tambo and he has continued to be an active manager of the property throughout his involvement with Local and State Government.
Prior to his election to State Parliament he served as a Councillor and as Chairman of the Tambo Shire Council and he was also a member of the Australian Defence Force.
His interests include polocrosse, clay target shooting and politics. Howard is also Patron of the Queensland Polocrosse Association, and a Vice-Patron of the Queensland Surf Lifesaving Association. He holds a private pilot's licence and pilots his own single engine Moonie 201 aircraft. Howard has two children.
