About MatthewMatthew Bourke was elected as Councillor for the ward of Jamboree in 2008 as part of Lord Mayor Campbell Newman's team. Matthew Bourke lives in Jamboree Heights, and prior to becoming a Councillor, owned and operated his own small business in Sherwood.
He is an active member of the Centenary Suburbs Historical Society and has a long association with Sherwood Meals on Wheels.
Following the election, Matthew was appointed Deputy Chairperson of the newly formed Infrastructure Committee. He was also appointed to sit on the Neighbourhood Planning and Development Assessment Committee.
