Shadow Minister for Public Works and Information and Communication Technology
Jann Stuckey and her family have lived in Currumbin Waters since 1987. Training initially as a registered nurse, Jann started her own small business 20 years ago.
Since her election in 2004 election, Jann has proven herself to be a strong advocate for the local community on a range of issues that affect them and the quality of life in the area.
With her firm belief in community consultation and thorough representation, Jann has been instrumental in taking residents' views and concerns directly to the Government and getting a positive result.
Jann was personally involved in the following successful outcomes:

The gifting of the old school site atop Kirra Hill to the community for public use.
-
The B4 route for the Tugun Bypass, finally constructed and opened in June, 2008.
-
Creation of the Southern Alliance Task Force to target disturbances on weekends.
-

-
Palm Beach Police Station opened on weekends in 2006
-
Implementation of Hoon Watch in response to electorate survey

-

In addition Jann has raised the awareness of the plight of cancer patients being forced to travel to Brisbane for treatment, fought hard against the over development of the Currumbin Valley and is holding the government accountable to its election promise to have proposed overhead powerlines through Palm Beach and Currumbin put underground.
She has a proven track record for getting things done. Jann is determined to make Currumbin a great place to live and to raise our families.
