Labor's Member for Whitsunday Jan Jarratt promised a high school for Mackay's Northern Beaches by 2003 but has failed to deliver, the LNP's Jason Costigan said today.

Mr Costigan said a check of Hansard revealed that Ms Jarratt, a former school teacher, had misled voters for more than a decade by promising a high school to accommodate an increasing population in suburbs such as Eimeo, Rural View and Blacks Beach.
