LNP pledge to residents of The Gold Coast – getting QLD back on track

Gold Coast Candidates will join LNP Leader Campbell Newman by making a pledge to the people of the Gold Coast – that an LNP Government will get Queensland back on track.

The pledge outlines the LNP team's vision for getting things done for Queensland and will be signed by Gold Coast MP's and Candidates when the LNP's pledge trailer tours the Gold Coast on Monday Jan 23rd.

The LNP has a clear plan for local families and by signing this pledge we are committing to address key issues such as tackling cost of living pressures and cutting Labor's waste.

LNP Leader Campbell Newman and his team will work day and night to provide a strong alternative Government with a clear vision for the people of this great State.

The pledge Campbell Newman has made, and we will make is to:

Grow a four pillar economy Lower the cost of living for families by cutting waste Deliver better infrastructure and better planning Revitalise front line services for families; and Restore accountability in Government.

Michael Hart LNP candidate for Burleigh said "Labor has failed to manage our economy and racked up almost $85 billion of debt. They have let down Queensland families by slugging them with extra fees and charges to pay for the Bligh government's financial recklessness".

"Unemployment in Queensland is the highest of any mainland state and we've lost our AAA credit rating."

"It's time to put some 'Can Do' back into George Street."

"It's time for a change. It's time to get Queensland back on track."

Michael Hart

Michael Hart is your CanDo Member for Burleigh.

Michael moved to the Gold Coast in 1986 with his wife Sally and their young family. All three of their children, Tim, Jessica and Hayden, were educated at local public primary and secondary schools in the Burleigh area.

He is a strong advocate for grassroots community consultation, listening to people's concerns and acting upon them. In addition, he is president of the Pacific SLSC, was the first president of the reformed Palm Beach Community Consultative Committee, and is an active member of Burleigh Rotary and local Chambers of Commerce.

He wants to fight for the residents of the area as part of a strong CanDo team, that stands up for the people of Burleigh. Planning for the future, not living for the political moment, Michael will work hard for locals.

Michael knows that by getting action on the basics and cutting waste, a CanDo government would save money and deliver more. That means action to address the rising costs of living as well as delivery of key infrastructure and better services for locals.
