Bligh Government short-changing Coolangatta Police

Currumbin MP Jann Stuckey has slammed the Bligh Labor Government for its failure to provide proper staffing levels for the Coolangatta Police Station.

"An answer to a question on notice I recently asked in Parliament revealed an entrenched culture of understaffing at the Coolangatta Police station in my electorate," Ms Stuckey said.

Border tourism sign finally replaced

LNP will ease cost of living pressures

Stuckey slams Bligh Government over Kirra inaction

Member for Currumbin Jann Stuckey MP has labelled the Bligh Government's 2009 pre-election promise to restore Kirra as a cruel stunt designed to win votes after a public forum revealed there were no future plans for the remaining half a million dollars promised prior to the election.

"As is so often the case with Labor, there was no plan to fix Kirra, just a hurried $1.5 million promise during an election campaign in an attempt to garner votes," said Ms Stuckey.

Member for Mudgeeraba, Ros Bates MP, is advising residents to have their say into the planning study currently underway to link the Pacific Motorway at Exit 87 to Old Coach Road.

 "Residents in Reedy Creek are well aware that connecting Old Coach Road to Exit 87 would be an enormous help in managing the local traffic flow.  There are 4,000 cars every day that use the Old Coach Road & Kingsmore Road roundabout with 2,000 of those cars travelling south," said Ms Bates.

Currumbin Scores $480,000 in Sport and Rec Funding

Currumbin MP Jann Stuckey has congratulated two clubs in the Currumbin electorate for securing close to $480,000 in State Government funding.

"The latest round of Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Program funding has delivered $479,447 to the Currumbin electorate," Ms Stuckey said.
