LNP Pledge to Westside Residents – getting Queensland back on track

LNP candidate for Mount Coot-tha, Saxon Rice, yesterday joined LNP Leader Campbell Newman in making a pledge to the people of Mount Coot-tha that an LNP Government will get Queensland back on track.

Witnessed by local supporters, Ms Rice signed the five-point pledge on what is known as the 'pledge trailer' – a 48-sheet moving billboard – outside her campaign office in Bardon. The office is located at Shop 2, 50 Macgregor Terrace.

The pledge outlines the LNP team's vision for getting things done for Queensland and it toured the Mount Coot-tha electorate prior to the signing of the pledge by Saxon Rice.

Ms Rice says the LNP has a clear plan for local families. "By signing this pledge we are committing to address key issues such as tackling cost of living pressures and cutting Labor's waste," she said.

"I, Campbell Newman, and the entire team will work day and night to provide a strong alternative Government with a clear vision for the people of Queensland."

Ms Rice's signature on the giant pledge follows Campbell Newman's signing last week. The pledge promises an LNP Government will:

grow a four pillar economylower the cost of living for families by cutting wastedelivery better infrastructure and better planningrevitalise front line services for families; andrestore accountability in Government.

Saxon Rice said Labor and Treasurer Andrew Fraser have failed to manage the State's economy and racked up almost $85 billion of debt. "They have let down Queensland families by slugging them with extra fees and charges to pay for the Bligh/Fraser government's financial mess," Ms Rice says.

"People are hurting, families are struggling, and they can't take any more."

"Enough is enough. It's time for a change. And I pledge to all local residents that an LNP government will put Queensland back on track."
