"This bipartisan committee, chaired by Labor, raised serious concerns regarding Mr Reeves and his dealings with the Mt Gravatt Showgrounds Trust and unanimously recommended changes to the bill."
"With parliament sitting for the last time next week before the state election Mr Reeves has an obligation to report to the parliament before the bill is debated."
Mr Walker said he had spoken to the LNP Shadow Sports Minister David Gibson MP, who was deputy chair of the committee that looked into the bill, and he reiterated the LNP's commitment to the parliamentary committee's recommendations.
"The Minister is on notice that the LNP will move amendments to his legislation to put the committee's recommendations into effect. His own ALP colleagues realise he is on the wrong track and the LNP does as well.' Mr Gibson said. "If this bill is railroaded through by the Minister the LNP, if elected to government, will ensure that we fix his mess."
Mr Walker said that Mr Reeves was being stubborn and pig-headed in his refusal to listen to the community and to his own colleagues. "Mr Reeves is out there on his own on this issue. He should be big enough to realise that and to back down and accept the committee's recommendations." Mr Walker said.
