THE LNP this week have pledged $4 million to support Queensland community groups with grants up to $5000 and volunteer groups with grants up to $15,000 through its Caring for our Community program.

LNP candidate for Mount Ommaney, Tarnya Smith, said the LNP's Caring for our Community program would provide community and volunteer groups with $4 million for small grants over three years to help them buy equipment to support Queenslanders in need.

LNP candidate for Mount Ommaney Tarnya Smith this week released her local plan for Mount Ommaney.

"There are so many things that our community needs and they are the local projects that I will be fighting for during this election campaign," Mrs Smith said

LNP candidate for Mount Ommaney, Tarnya Smith has announced the Mount Ommaney campaign office will be open to the public from Monday the 6th of February.

"My focus is standing up for the people of the Mount Ommaney electorate, locals have had enough of Labor's waste, the increases to cost of living, asset sales and spin. It's time for a change, its time to get Queensland back on track," Mrs Smith said.

Smith condemns public transport fare spike

Safety first this holiday season

LNP Candidate for Mount Ommaney Tarnya Smith is urging the community to put safety first this holiday season.

"Increased traffic on the roads and severe weather events bring increased risks to personal safety on the roads and around our homes during the holiday season," Mrs Smith said.

Labor's recycling collection bin grant for Queensland businesses being launched by the hapless Julie Attwood today was a drop in the ocean compared to the punishing bills they will be forced to pay under the Bligh government's damaging waste tax, the local LNP Candidate Tarnya Smith said today.

Attwood: Health Minister's accomplice in health fiasco

Attwood attacks a constituent for having their say

Labor MP Julie Attwood last night used her speech in support of the Civil Partnerships Bill to attack one her own constituents, and to blatantly discriminate against them on the basis of political belief, according to LNP candidate for Mount Ommaney Tarnya Smith.

"The constituent, who is the Vice President of the Queensland Branch of the Australian Family Association, and also happens to be a member of the LNP, was attacked for merely setting up a meeting with Labor's Ms Attwood to discuss the Civil Partnerships Bill", Mrs Smith said.

Mount Ommaney students to benefit from LNP e-learning policy

LNP Candidate for Mount Ommaney Tarnya Smith today applauded Campbell Newman's announcement of an e-learning policy if elected to office at the forthcoming State election.

"This policy will see each special and mainstream school within the education system benefit from the supplement of ipads or tablets, 20 for special and 10 for mainstream institutions respectively," Mrs Smith said.
