Holswich committed to a safer Pine Rivers

LNP Candidate for Pine Rivers, Mr Seath Holswich, has expressed his commitment to working towards a safer Pine Rivers for all local residents and businesses.

"Everyone has the right to feel safe in their own home and surrounds and I will work hard to help make Pine Rivers a safer place to live," Mr Holswich said.

Mr Holswich has announced his intention to implement two initiatives if elected to combat issues that concern many locals.

"As I have talked with local residents over the past 15 months, a common theme in many suburbs is the scourge of hooning activities in our neighbourhood streets. It is unacceptable behaviour and local residents need to be empowered to help police combat these illegal activities."

"If elected, I am committing to implementing a Hoon Watch program throughout Pine Rivers. It will be a grassroots initiative that will assist locals to take back their streets and will assist police in the identification and prosecution of offenders."

Graffiti is another issue that Mr Holswich is committed to seeing tackled in the Pine Rivers electorate.

"Not only is graffiti in our neighbourhoods unsightly and costly to remove, it leaves residents feeling uneasy when it occurs on or near where they live or work."

Mr Holswich has announced that he will also implement a Graffiti Watch program throughout Pine Rivers.

"In a similar concept to Hoon Watch, this initiative is designed to assist in the timely identifying and reporting of graffiti crime in Pine Rivers."

"There are other ways to express someone's artistic ability without defacing another person's property. We shouldn't have to tolerate this behaviour in our local streets."

"I am committed to working alongside our outstanding local Police Service, with local Neighbourhood Watch groups and with all local businesses and residents to make Pine Rivers a safer community."

"This is part of my commitment to ensure Pine Rivers is a great place for everyone to call home."
