In a plan unveiled yesterday, the LNP will provide up to $150 per year for 40,000 Queensland children whose families can't afford annual sporting and recreation club fees.

Mr Grimwade said the three-year, $16 million initiative would encourage more Queensland children play sport in local clubs and assist community clubs with grants for equipment and field improvements.
LNP Candidate for Pine Rivers, Mr Seath Holswich, has welcomed Translink's announcement of a long overdue overhaul of the local bus network in Pine Rivers.
Mr Holswich, along with many local commuters, made a submission to Translink in 2011 recommending that routes be altered and new services introduced.
LNP Candidate for Pine Rivers, Mr Seath Holswich, has expressed his frustration at the lack of timely action to repair Mount Mee Rd after the floods of January 2011.
"This week marks exactly one year on from the devastating floods that heavily impacted the Dayboro region and caused significant damage to Mount Mee Rd, and we're being told that the repair work won't be completed until at least early 2013," Mr Holswich said.
One year on from the devastating floods which damaged the AJ Wyllie Bridge, the Bligh Labor government has let down local residents by failing to fix the bridge, local LNP Candidates said today.
"We have gone 12 months since the bridge was first damaged and 10 months since the Government announced it would replace the bridge, yet they still haven't awarded a contract for its construction," Mr Seath Holswich, LNP Candidate for Pine Rivers said today.
