LNP to get Pine Rivers tourism back on track

LNP candidate for Pine Rivers, Seath Holswich, has welcomed the LNP's plan to help get Pine Rivers tourism back on track, to lock in benefits to our local economy, support our tourism operators and create more local jobs into the future.

Mr Holswich said local tourism and employment opportunities could be boosted through proper planning and a genuine commitment from government to support the local tourism industry.

LNP's Darren Grimwade backs White Ribbon Day campaign

LNP Candidate for Morayfield, Mr Darren Grimwade has affirmed the LNP's commitment to eradicating violence against women by taking the oath to never to commit, excuse or remain silent about violence against women on this White Ribbon Day.

"Today is an important day to raise awareness of violence against women, it's also a day for every man to swear to never harm or condone violence against women," LNP Leader Campbell Newman said.

Pine Rivers and Kallangur special needs students will be the winners under a commitment from the LNP to provide tablets to all Queensland schools with a special education program, local LNP Candidates said today.

An LNP government will provide 20 tablets each to every State Special School for use by their students and 10 each to any other school with a special education program.

Local hoons run rings around Labor

Local LNP candidates said Labor has been caught out over its failure to clamp down on hooning in Pine Rivers and Kallangur neighbourhoods.

"Labor's anti-hooning laws have proven to be a total flop since being introduced in 2002, and are only now subject to amendments to toughen them up on the eve of an election," Trevor Ruthenberg said.

Grimwade launches campaign for Morayfield

LNP Candidate for Morayfield, Darren Grimwade has officially launched his campaign for the state seat of Morayfield.

Mr Grimwade held the official campaign launch on Sunday 13th November at the Burpengary Tavern, with over 100 supporters in attendance.

New statistics have revealed that frontline policing numbers have declined in the past 12 months in the Pine Rivers district.

Local LNP Candidates have expressed their concerns that Labor is mismanaging frontline police numbers in our region and across the state.

Booze and speed culture in Labor's ranks

A dangerous culture of boozing and speeding was rife in Labor's ranks, the LNP said today.

LNP Shadow Attorney-General Jarrod Bleijie said the latest revelation that Labor MP Lillian van Litsenberg tipped-off drinkers in her Redcliffe electorate that a police booze bus was around the corner was the latest incident in Labor's culture of boozing and speeding.

Jann Stuckey launches Christmas Challenge
