Helping school kids get back to basics
Today's announcement of an LNP plan to improve numeracy and literacy skills has been welcomed by Member for Maroochydore Fiona Simpson.
Ms Simpson said that $26 million would be provided over four years to give Principals and the school community more help for children struggling with their reading, writing and mathematics skills.

Hoons Driving Currumbin Residents Mad
Member for Currumbin Jann Stuckey MP said residents in Currumbin were fed up with hoons endangering lives after another serious incident was captured on camera by locals last week.

Ian Walker gets results for Mansfield Locals
A CanDo LNP Government will spend $133,000 in its first term in office to erect flashing school zone safety lights on Ham Road outside Mansfield State School, as part of a range of measures announced today to support Mansfield locals.
