"You have to go back nearly 30 years to find Queensland interstate migration levels lower than what we've experienced under the Bligh government," Mr Nicholls said.*
"Evidently Ms Bligh is living in 1984 – but it's George Orwell's 1984 where she's a master of doublethink and spinning Queenslanders with bogus claims.
"Under Labor, Queensland has become the unemployment capital of mainland Australia with 5.8% unemployment."
Australian Bureau of Stastics figures show 144,100 Queenslanders were now unemployed – 28,300 people more since the last state election.
"Ms Bligh seems to put more effort into dressing up her government's job failures as successes rather than helping a record number of unemployed Queenslanders find jobs," Mr Nicholls said.
"At the last election, Ms Bligh promised to create 100,000 'breadwinner' jobs, but ever since has been trying to claim part time jobs are "breadwinners" jobs.
"No one believes working as little as one hour a week is a "breadwinners" job except Anna Bligh and Andrew Fraser.
"So far only 51,300 full-time breadwinning jobs have been created. Labor is actually 48,700 full-time jobs short of their election promise.
"The government's cynical attempts to claim part-time work as 'breadwinner' jobs shows how out of touch they are with Queensland families struggling to cope with the increasing cost of living caused by Labor policies.
"Just as Anna Bligh lied on the fuel tax and asset sales, she's also telling porkies about the jobless rate. The truth is more Queenslanders are in the dole queues now than in 2009.
"While the other resource rich state Western Australia continues to streak ahead with low unemployment, the Bligh government's erratic economic policies had left many workers and small businesses struggling to survive.
"The biggest risk to Queensland's economic recovery is another three years of lost opportunities because of Anna Bligh and Labor.
"While Labor is putting all its eggs in the mining basket, a CanDo LNP Government will grow a four pillar economy centred on construction, tourism, agriculture and resources.
"It's time for change. It's time to get Queensland back on track."
