Tracy Davis is your Member for Aspley.
Tracy was elected to the Queensland Parliament on March 21, 2009.
Tracy commenced her working life in her family’s small business in the traditionally male dominated field of home improvements and hardware; ultimately holding the position of General Manager of their four retail outlets.
In 1995, along with two business partners, Tracy established a kitchen design and manufacturing company, which still operates today.
As a mother of three children, Tracy understands the work-life balance challenges faced by women. Tracy and her husband John sent their children Richard, Rowan and Alexandra to local schools, where Tracy was heavily involved in volunteer and committee work including serving as a director on the School Foundation and as President of the Auxiliary.
Tracy is firmly committed to ensuring the viability of local community organisations, and wherever she can Tracy assists local organisations through her office. As a member of the Executive of the Eatons Hill Local Ambulance Committee, and current Vice President, Tracy understands that whilst ultimately rewarding, community work is often very challenging and we should always remember the hard work and dedication of our volunteers.
Tracy has an ongoing commitment to encouraging women’s political participation at organisational and parliamentary levels. She has held the position of Vice-President of Liberal Women’s Council QLD, and until her election to Parliament was the Policy Chairman of LNP Women.
As a hard worker, Tracy looks forward to continuing to work alongside the residents of the Aspley electorate; achieving the outcomes that best meet the needs of the local community.
