Andrew Cripps

Member for Hinchinbrook
Shadow Minister for Disability Services and Multicultural Affairs

Biography

A passionate advocate for Far North Queensland, Andrew Cripps is The LNP's Member of Parliament for the seat of Hinchinbrook.

Born and bred in the sugar and banana town of Tully, Andrew is a strong advocate for the community of Hinchinbrook. He is a member of the Herbert River Rotary Club, Ingham Jaycees, the Hinchinbrook Chamber of Commerce, Tourism and Industry and the Ingham Theatre Group.

Andrew is determined to provide a strong voice for the Hinchinbrook region in State Parliament.

“This area is a great part of Queensland with enormous potential,” Andrew says.

“I’m very proud to be a Far North Queenslander and I consider it a privilege to represent Hinchinbrook in the Queensland Parliament.

“I believe the most important role for a local Member is to secure resources and funding for public services such as health care and roads; to support this area’s existing needs and to help attract further growth, job and wealth creation. Rebuilding those areas of the electorate that were devastated by Cyclone Larry is another high priority.

“These are the things I will be working hard for as the representative for Hinchinbrook.”

“I want Hinchinbrook to have the strong local voice it deserves.”
