The revitalised Food Trucks and Coffee Carts in Parks program is delivering more choice for residents, with pop-ups happening across Brisbane every day of the week.
Since launching on 1 July 2025, the program has recorded 2,807 bookings and more than 17,000 hours of trade - the equivalent of nearly two straight years of non-stop activation.
The number of approved trading sites has expanded dramatically from 13 to 98 locations across the city, unlocking everything from beachfront bites to golden-hour grazing and creating more to see and do in the suburbs
For those looking to swap crowded venues for relaxed, open-air experiences closer to home, the program is making it easier than ever to plan your next catch up, date night or simply follow your favourite vendor.
The most in-demand locations include:
- Wynnum Wading Pool – 414 bookings
- Elanora Park, Wynnum – 324 bookings
- Sandgate Foreshores Park, Sandgate – 142 bookings
- Les Atkinson Park, Sunnybank – 103 bookings
- Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park – 68 bookings
The new program also allows long-time vendors with ties to existing locations to continue operating as they were previously.
The revamped program has been designed to support small business growth while delivering better experiences for residents, with:
- One streamlined approval process allowing traders to operate across all program sites
- Drive-up sites on Council-controlled roads for added flexibility
- Multiple vendors able to trade at high-demand sites on the same day
- A three-tier fee structure supporting businesses at different stages
- A modern Brisbane Food Trucks website featuring an interactive map, menus and food-type searches
- A new Mobile Trader Portal enabling bookings up to six weeks in advance
Brisbane is home to more than 2,100 parks and playgrounds, from award winning destinations like Bradbury Park, Archerfield Wetlands and Hanlon Park, to dog parks and pocket parks, so everyone can get out and relax in the suburbs.
